Alvarado Row Sign

Today's memory is a brief one sent in by Ralph W. Hansen, who was University Archivist & Chief Librarian of the Acquisitions Department when Meyer was under construction.

When construction began I could see that the building would encroach on Alvarado Row, the oldest faculty housing street on campus. I went to the corner of the street and removed the street sign which is now in the University Archives.

We'll be checking the archives for the sign, so we can display it on December 1st. Thanks, Ralph!
