Brian, an alum from the School of Ed, remembers the early days of video editing at Meyer:

I remember long evenings spent in Meyer importing and editing videos for various class projects. The energy in that room late at night was amazing because at times every single workstation would be full and the room would be very hushed. Everyone was totally focused on their computer screen- selecting the perfect scenes, cuts, transitions, and audio for their personal masterpieces. Now and then a student would finish a project, lean back, turn up the audio a bit, and invite everyone over to watch the film.

The Multimedia Studio is still an important part of Meyer. The studio provides a wide variety of hardware and software for developing multimedia project in video authoring and format conversion, image scanning and manipulation, and web development. It is one of the most heavily used areas of Meyer.
